I gather @greg_boyd defines “faith” as (his words) an “inner vision,” or as most people call it, “the power of positivity” or “mind over matter.” It sounds a great deal like manifesting desires via visualization techniques (New Age Creative Visualization & the Law of Attraction). https://t.co/NKXZXUvcU8

Couple that w/ Jesus’ instruction to keep asking & keep knocking AS WELL AS “thy kingdom come; thy will be done” (e.g. Not my will but yours be done). We see Jesus encourages persistence (in the face of spiritual dynamics) balanced w/ God’s prerogatives: desire & acceptance.

This line of teaching does not place inordinate focus or blame on the “faith” of the individual but on the object of faith, i.e. God.
